Pyxsoft Computing Ltd. - Privacy Policy

Pyxsoft Computing Ltd. ("Pyxsoft", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and to the Pyxsoft Antimalware, pxShield (WAF) and Firewall services (collectively, "the Service").

1. Data Controller

Pyxsoft Computing Ltd. is a company registered in the United Kingdom and is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy-related question you can contact us at info@pyxsoft.com.

2. Personal Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address and account credentials you provide when you register or contact us.
  • Billing data: billing name, address, country and the details required to process a purchase. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by FastSpring, our Merchant of Record — Pyxsoft does not receive or store full card numbers.
  • Licensing and usage data: license activation state, server identifiers and technical information generated while you use the Service.
  • Support data: any information you send us when you request support or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Website data: basic technical information such as IP address and browser data. To display prices in your local currency, our website performs a client-side lookup of your approximate country using the third-party service api.country.is; only a country code is returned and no personal profile is built.

3. How We Use Your Data and Lawful Basis

We process your personal data to:

  • Provide, activate and maintain the Service (performance of a contract).
  • Process payments, renewals and refunds through our Merchant of Record (performance of a contract).
  • Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries (legitimate interests).
  • Send service, billing and security notifications (performance of a contract / legitimate interests).
  • Comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
  • Improve and secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).

4. Sharing of Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • FastSpring (FastSpring, Inc.), our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, taxes, invoices and refunds on our behalf.
  • Service providers (for example hosting, email and support tools) that process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) / Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data remains protected.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Billing records are kept for the period required by applicable UK law.

7. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@pyxsoft.com.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses only the minimum storage required to operate, including caching your detected currency during your visit. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard safeguards.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — please contact us at info@pyxsoft.com.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website or via the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
